But it was... read more also low season and not many people around. The shared kitchen is well equipped and clean. Rooms are clean and airy with shared balconies/ terraces in front. The owner Dan is a helpful and very excellent host that will take care of every concern. He definitely tries also his best to get the not often happening parties as quiet as possible...but they might happen. And then it’s loud.
Btw we traveled with a baby and the short distance to the beach and the pool is another plus. Thumbs up!

Beach is great. Lots to do. Boogie boards are free. For a fee you can hire snorkeling gear and kayak or take suffer lesson's from vendors on the beach or in town (Samara) , a 20-30 mins walk depending on the tide.

Great pool area w/ lounge chairs. Cute kitchen for cooking; Chef in the morning will cook breakfast for you. Separate restaurant on site. Flying Taco bar walking distance. Tons of restaurants near by and cute beach bars. WALKING DISTANCE TO THE BEACH!!! The owner is incredibly nice and is always on-site to ensure you have a great vacation. I can't wait to go back in a few months!

The beach was roughly less than a 5 minute walk as were some really great restaurants both on and off the beach, shops and an outdoor shopping area where local vendors sell their goods. Enjoyed the free morning breakfast. Hotel has a lot of artsy charm. There’s a great pool area in the back , surfboards for rent and a very helpful activity coordinator who set up tours for us.
What really topped our stay here was The owner Dan and all the staff. All were super helpful , friendly and very engaging with guests. These folks really have it down to a T in making you feel welcomed and at home.
It’s nice when you find a sweet spot you know you’ll be returning to. There are a couple of other beautiful beaches very close either by car or by foot. The area itself is quaint, has a real authentic feel to it and really friendly locals ... also felt very safe here as well. Thanks to everyone @ Hotel Playa Samara!

There is... read more a bar in the pool area and you can hear the music very well in your room. On the courtyard side is the breakfast area and you can hear people there from early on.
The were also no hot water (do you really need it though?), and quite a few ants in the room.
The staff are super helpful and nice. If you want a quiet option then this is not it. But if you are on a budget and don’t mind a little noise, then it might be an option.

Centrally located, but still has a very private and unique setting that makes a couple, a group or even a family traveling in CR feel at one with the "Pura Vida" lifestyle.
